You must be logged into the frontend control of the website and have calendar priviledges to be able to add events to the calendar. You will know if you have access to adding events by going to the calendar of your website and seeing if each date in the month view has a + sign in it. If you do not, click here to find out how to get calendar access priviledges.
If you do have calendar editing priviledges, go to the calendar month view. In each square you will see a + sign. Click the plus sign to add an event to that day.
Fill in that form with the appropriate data for that event.
Note: You CAN add html to your event description in the 'notes' field. So lets you wanted to add something like: "Click here to register for this event" and wanted that to link to an actual page... you would type in the html code: <a href="content/view/4/3/">Click here to register for this event</a> where 'content/view/4/3/' is the url of the page you want to link to.
Notice there are 3 tabs at the top of this calendar editing page:
General
Repeating
Location
Go through each tab to add the appropriate information for your event.
Note: Typing in a full address in the location tab will automatically link that address to google maps AND put that location in the dropdown menu for you to choose another time.
When you are done, click the save button at the top or bottom left.
