How do I create a photo gallery?

Login to the BACKEND control panel and go into the backend control panel at www.yourchurchsite.com/administrator (where yourchurchsite.com is YOUR actual church domain name ie crossroadschurch.com/administrator).

First you need to create a category for the images to be uploaded to. If you have already done so you can skip to the section entitled "Uploading Images."

Add Categories

Go to Components >Photo Gallery>Category Manager

To add your categories, click on the Categories icon.
Click the New Icon located at top right of the screen.

Fill out the Title field with the category you want to create (ie. Ski Trip, Winter Retreat, Summer Picnic, etc)

You can leave the rest of the fields alone. Click Save.


Uploading Images

Go to Components >Photo Gallery>Batch Picture Upload

This will bring up a page that has a java application on it. It might ask you to install the java applet on your computer. Check yes or approve.

Choose the category you want the photos to be uploaded to by clicking on the dropdown box for the field Category Photos will be assigned to.

Now click the browse button down below. Highlight ALL the photos you want to upload. Click open at the bottom of that popup window with all your images listed on your computer.

Now click the upload button at bottom left of page.
