How do I create a form?

Login to the BACKEND control panel at www.yourchurchsite.com/administrator (where yourchurchsite.com is YOUR actual church domain name ie. www.crossroadschurch.com/administrator).

Go to components>forms

This page lists all the forms you will create.

Click on the New icon at the top right of page.


Creating Form Fields

Click on Basic, on the left side of the page. This will open a panel with all the types of fields you can use to gather data from the end user.

Lets create a name and comment field for this example.

Click and drag the textbox icon from the left side of the page to the right side box. Amazing! Its now part of your form! It's that easy!

Now click anywhere on that new textbox field you made on the right side of the page. You will see all the options to choose from for that field on the left side of the page.

On the left side of the page, in the label field, type in Name

Now click on the black toolbar button on the left of the page to bring back up all the fields you can choose.

Click and drag the textarea icon from the left side of the page to the right side box.

Now click anywhere on that new textarea field you made on the right side of the page.

On the left side of the page, in the label field, type in Comments

Notice how the textarea box is short and stubby. To resize the textarea box, simply drag the handle at the bottom right of the textarea box and it will resize it to whatever you desire.

Now click on the black toolbar button on the left again to bring back up all the fields you can choose.

Click and drag the button icon from the left side of the page to the right side box.

You are now done creating the fields for this form. We want to now decide what to do with this form so DONT click save yet.

Form Setup

So click on the black Form button on the left side of the page (in between Toolbar & Element).

Click on the first link below that called Form Information

Fill out all fields in this box except type and theme.

If you want the data emailed to you, click on the next link below called Active Plugin and check the box Mail. Otherwise it will simply store all data in the backend control panel for you and you can now click on Save at the top right.

If you did choose to get the data emailed, proceed to clicking on the link below called Mail. You only need to fill out the field Administrators email with the email address you want the form data sent to. Save at the top right.
