How do I add a new content page?

Note: Only use this method if you are adding a content page that belongs under a certain category, such as the "About Us" section or the "Ministries" section. If the page you want to create is just a page that doesn't really fit under any certain category, please click here to find out how to do this.

A content page is a page with normal text and images in it. Most pages on your church website are content pages. An example of a content page would be the beliefs page, staff page, or a specific ministries page such as “childrens ministries”.
To add a new content page to your website (ie. ministry pages, beliefs page, about us page):

Go to www.yourdomainname.com/administrator/ and login with the username and password you created for yourself when creating an account on the website.

From there you will see a control panel screen. This is called the BACKEND Control Panel. You MUST use the Backend control panel to ADD content pages. However, once created, you can EDIT any content pages from the Frontend control panel.

So in the backend control panel that you are now in, go to the top menu and go to CONTENT > CONTENT BY SECTION  > (and choose the category you want to put your new page under… in this example we will add a new page under  the ‘about us’ category )  > ABOUT US > ABOUT US ITEMS

Here you will see a list of all the content pages on your website in the About Us category.
To create a new content page, click the new icon  new.gif located at the top right of this screen.
Fill out the form.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO ALWAYS ALWAYS use the paste from word button in the wysiwyg toolbar to paste ANY content into your website.

- Intro Text (required):  Put the first 1 or 2 sentences of the content in this section. (Optional)

- Main Text (optional):  Put the rest of the content in this field. (You can put all the content of the site in this box and not use the "intro text" box AT ALL if you so desire. It will not really affect your website except in rare instances.)
On the right of the screen you will see the properties panel with 4 tabs:

- Publishing: Here you can decide when the page is published and who can view the page. Do not change any other parameters.
Once done, click the Disk Icon save.gif to save the content page, located at top right of the screen
